The oldest of our brands, Mystery Cafe interactive comedy dinner theater shows are a GREAT way to spend a unforgettable night with friends! Looking to try something different? Join us for a gut-busting mysterious comedy, drinks and a delicious three-course gourmet dinner!

Each comedic play is performed in four separate 20 to 30 minute scenes. These scenes are performed “environmentally” – that is, the action occurs throughout the function space as opposed to at just one end.

At some point in the show a major crime is committed (usually a murder, but not always) and the audience gets to try and figure out Whodunit. Guests are given clues are are allowed to interrogate the actors between scenes.

The Haunted Dinner Theater is the family friendly version of our mystery dinner theater. Every fall, it combines Salem’s most creative interactive performance with an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet dinner at either the iconic Hawthorne Hotel in the historic district or the famous Finz Seafood & Grill on the waterfront.

Sit back and let our actors entertain you tableside with an age appropriate mystery show in an atmosphere complete with music and a little night magic.

Dining in the Dark is a journey of the senses – except one.

Join us for one of the most unique dinners you will ever experience. Once blindfolded let your senses take over and you’ll enjoy the smells, the sounds, the tastes and the textures in a way you never thought possible.

Your evening will be a combination of fine food, inspiring music and a story that ties everything together. You’ll laugh and enjoy, you’ll guess what you are eating and you will focus on the food and each other.

Try to imagine the ballad “Finnegan’s Wake” transformed into the Irish version of “one of those Italian Weddings,” only in place of the nuptials, there’s a funeral. Then you’ve pretty much got the gist of the show playing every March in New England and available year round for private shows.

It’s an opportunity to entertain and to be entertained – while seasoned actor/comedians host this evening of Celtic wit and merriment, you’ll also have a chance to help console the poor widow. Feel free to share a joke, a ballad or a tale. After all, this gathering is a celebration of life, not death!

An Escape Room is a fun, interactive entertainment concept and ours come right to you! While it looks like any other ordinary room, it’s actually a real-life adventure game designed for small groups of friends, families, co-workers or strangers.

Find the hidden objects, figure out the clues and solve the puzzles to earn your freedom and “Escape the Room.” You have 60 minutes, so be quick. Put your mental and physical abilities to the test and see if you have what it takes to Escape!

Game Show Nation provides socially interactive games shows that add energy to corporate events to keep everyone engaged and having fun while breaking down barriers, opening communication, and enhancing essential skills.

Our customizable game show and team trivia events are great for pumping up morale, jump-starting creative problem solving and pulling employees together.Everything about these events is larger than life – from lights, buzzers and giant board games to our game show hosts themselves. Hysterically funny and truly memorable.

Scaventures are wildly innovative, highly customizable, guaranteed fun and effective team building scavenger hunts. Given a time frame, a mission, a set of tools and clues, and a playing field, your team communicates, strategizes, negotiates, and bonds. All this is disguised as fun!

We offer high tech, photo, mystery and even limo scavenger hunts and each one is designed just for your group and the location you choose.

Our productions change regularly as we add new shows to our roster. Public events are held at wonderful locations including the Elephant & Castle in downtown Boston, Ricardo’s Ristorante in the North End, the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem, and the MIT Endicott House in Dedham.

We do have a normal segment during our shows where we recognize anyone celebrating a special event. However, if you would like to do something extra special for your celebrant we do have what we call a Crossfire Celebration Package that you can add onto your ticket purchase for only $20! It includes a celebration hat and necklace, as well as a group photo with the entire cast.

There is no required dress code at our shows, though we suggest attire that “Nice Casual.” We believe that the most important thing is for you to be comfortable. Costumes, of course, are always welcome!

Yes, each of our public shows has a full bar and cocktail service throughout the evening. However, drinks are not included in the ticket price.

Each show and each venue has a different menu tailored to the show and the restaurant. There are often choices in entrees and dietary restrictions can be accommodated if you let us know in advance. We have a new less expensive children’s menu for our guests 12 and under at our Elephant & Castle and Hawthorne Hotel shows. Please note that food is not served as part of our public Sleuth Scavenger Hunts, but dinner can be added on for an extra fee.

For shows at the Elephant & Castle, yes! When purchasing tickets online or by phone, you will be asked to choose an entree for each member of your party. If you do not know what you or other members of your party would like, you may choose “Undecided” and we will give you a call at the number you provide during purchase to confirm your meal choices before the show.

There are public parking garages and limited street parking located near all of our venues. Upon making your reservation, parking recommendations for your venue will be provided in your confirmation e-mail. If you plan to attend the Mystery Cafe at the Elephant and Castle, you are invited to use the parking voucher provided at the hostess desk.

That might be the toughest question we get, as everyone has different ideas about what’s okay for kids. For that matter, everyone has a different idea of what a “kid” is. If our shows were movies they would be rated PG-13.  The shows are written and performed to have broad appeal, and they are comedies. We know comedy is subjective, but we have always stayed away from the “easy” comedy that is insulting or vulgar just for the sake of shock. Our Haunted Dinner Theater shows are specifically designed to be especially family-friendly and are appropriate for kids of all ages. If you are bringing children younger than 12, we have discounted children’s ticket prices with accompanying children’s menu choices available for our shows at the Elephant & Castle, the Hawthorne Hotel and Finz Seafood.
