We all love our favorite goofy mystery solving crew from Scooby Doo! Thelma, Daphne, Freddy, Shaggy and of course Scooby Doo have all had their fair share of solving crimes and mysteries.
As goofy as the show may be, it does have some good tips on how to solve a mystery if you stop and think about it.
1. Sniff for Clues
Clues won’t jump right out at you most of the time. So, get on all fours like scooby and sniff your way to the clues. Just kidding. But, you do really have to search high and low to find clues. Look in unusual places, areas that aren’t directly at eye-level and over and under objects. You’d be surprised what you can find if you look in places that aren’t at your eye-level.
2. Have a Scooby Snack
Even though Scooby Doo seems to LOVE his Scooby Snacks, I’m not sure if they would taste very good to humans. But the point is, take a break! If you keep on looking for clues with no success, maybe you need to take a break, regroup, and refresh. It’s tiring to use all your senses searching for clues. You’ll feel rejuvinated when you return to your mystery-solving after taking a short break.
3. Work With Your “Gang”
Velma often refers to herself, Daphne, Freddy, Shaggy and Scooby as the “gang.” Notice how they always work together to solve their mysteries in each episode. Rarely, does just one of them solve the entire mystery by themselves. Usually, the entire “gang” works together and they each play a specific role in solving the crime. Now, with a little help from the most famous mystery-solving crew you have a better idea of how to solve a mystery (according to Scooby Doo). Take this into consideration whether it’s for your next mystery dinner out or game of clue at home!
